Welcome to the Brazosport Seventh-day Adventist Church where we find our greatest joy in leading people to Jesus and in the delightful salvation that He offers to anyone who believes.
Our Savior left heaven, became man, died on calvary, rose from the grave, and is coming back again for those who love Him. We sincerely believe that we will see Jesus again – very soon – and we would love for you to be with us when that happens.

A diverse community of believers who are being transformed the love and power of Christ, sharing the gospel of Christ and passionately preparing people for the second coming of Jesus.
We are called “Seventh-day Adventist” because we worship on the Sabbath (the seventh day) and since we are anticipating Jesus’ second advent when He will return to claim His children.
SALVATION
Luke 19:10 & Romans 10:9-1
Like Jesus, we believe that the major message of the Bible is God’s plan of salvation. God sent His one and only Son to earth to live a perfect life and die on the cross for sinners. As we accept His gift and believe in who He is and what He has done, we receive the gift of salvation.
SECOND COMING
Matthew 24 & John 14:1-3
Jesus said that He would come a second time and that His followers could know when His coming is near. On average, one out of every eight verses in the New Testament points to this great event. His first coming was called His first advent (appearing). His second coming will be His second advent (appearing). People who believe that He will come a second time are often called “Adventists”. We long to be ready, by His grace, for His second advent.
SANCTUARY
Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 8:1-4, Daniel 8:14, Revelation 14:6-7
We believe that Jesus is now ministering in the sanctuary in heaven where He “ever lives to make intercession for us”. We believe, on the basis of Bible prophecy, that He will soon complete all aspects of His High Priestly ministry and return to earth.
SABBATH
Luke 4:16, John 14:15, 1 John 2:3
We have chosen to follow Christ’s example of worshiping on the seventh day of the week, Saturday, the Bible Sabbath. On the Sabbath, Christ rested from His work as Creator and Redeemer. We worship on the Sabbath because Jesus asks His followers to express their love by keeping the commandments.
STATE OF THE DEAD
John 11:11-14 & John 5:28-29
When Jesus’ friend Lazarus died, Jesus described death as a sleep. Lazarus “slept” in death, until Jesus said with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” When Jesus comes the second time, His voice will awaken everyone from the grave. His friends will be resurrected to everlasting life, and His enemies to condemnation.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS
John 16:7, Galatians 5, Ephesians 4, Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12
Before Jesus returned to heaven after His death, He promised that He would send the Holy Spirit to His followers in a more marked manner. We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit in the church (the body of Christ) until the end of time. God desires that believers demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit and that all of the gifts of the Spirit will be present among God’s people as He directs.
STANDARDS
1 John 2:6, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Corinthians 10:31
A Christian follows Christ in all things. Christians must not simply believe the right teachings. They also, by God’s grace, live the Christian lifestyle. Christians will honor God by what they eat or drink or whatever they do.
Spiritually Lifting Sermons
God doesn’t need our money; He already owns it all.
However, He did clearly say that where our treasures are, that is also where we will find our hearts (Matthew 6:21). When we willingly set aside the first part of our income to fund ministry, it is a practical way to show our faith and help others at the same time. In the Old Testament, God said that the tithe belonged to Him and was to be immediately set aside (Leviticus 27:30) and brought to the storehouse (Malachi 3:10). Actually, the word tithe means tenth and refers to the first ten percent of all our income. Today, we believe that the local church, which is the gathering point of the body of Christ is that storehouse. However, it’s important to remember that church is not a building, it is a people. The church’s job is to meet the needs of people through people.
To return a tithe is to recognize Him as the Owner of all creation. This is not a financial transaction but an expression of faith and a matter of simple honesty. He designed it to be a blessing to us and to others. The tithe is foundational to His work and our participation makes it the greatest source of funding to advance God’s mission.
Just one tiny seed. But from it springs a stalk that forms an ear—and God’s principle of multiplication is revealed. The efforts of the farmer increase when he generously sows his field with thousands of individual grains of wheat. God provides the sun and the water. Each seed’s effort multiplies and the farmer reaps a harvest that feeds and benefits many.
The Texas Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church supports Adventist education, evangelism efforts, church building projects, and camp development in their programs. Your contribution goes towards these goals.
